Function tariffs and packages
Our multi-purpose Cockatoo function room is available for a wide range of uses. If your event does not seem to fit within the 3 packages (Celebration, Seminar, Bare Bones) below we will be pleased to provide you a customised quote. Room capacity info is under Functions tab. Tariffs below apply to off-peak period bookings. Peak period (mid-December/January) tariffs for Cockatoo Room will be higher, seek quote. Accommodation charges are separate from function room hire (see Accommodation Tariffs). A standard clean is included in all tariffs but we charge extra if grounds, furniture, crockery etc not clean or not put away as and where found. Function deposit and cancellation policies are included within each package quote below:-
Weekend celebration package
Tariff for 2013 (get quote for 2014) incl GST calculated as follows:-
- Up to 100# (our max seated capacity incl verandahs): $32pp subject to min of $1600.
- For 100# -180#: Finger-food function which may require additional externally-supplied servingware, $3200 + $12pp over 100.
- Deduct $10 per person aged between 2 and 16. Infants to 2yo free/not counted.
- Optional extras: Rising stage: $80. Tablecloth hire (2300mm X 1350mm to fit trestle tables 1835mm X 760mm) $9 ea, napkins $1.00 ea, ground hire for third party marquee $1.00 per sq m per day. Cleaning at $55 per hour (weekends) $40ph (weekedays) for more than standard clean.
- Not included extras: Accommodation including required use of at least 2 nights in Cafe Cottage, Cormorant and Oystercatcher bush apartments; food, drinks, staffing, celebrant, table linen, decorations, music, etc.
Celebration package includes:
- Access to Cockatoo room from 3pm Friday to 11am Sunday a (earlier/later by arrangement) and use of verandahs, lawns, gazebo, toilets.
- Access by event caterers of your choice at your cost to Cafe Cottage commercial-standard kitchen and use of its equipment (if paid caterers are used they must carry insurance).
- Tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, glasses for up to 80.
- Cockatoo Room servery for use as a bar and use of moveable outdoor bar and ice boxes for serving, not selling, of alcohol supplied by you.
- Audio equipment by arrangement (up to 3 mics, speakers, foldbacks, 12-channel mixer), stage lighting, mirror ball.
- Rubbish removal.
- After event room is to be vacated by departure time with everything left clean and put away where found ready for standard floor and facilities clean by us. If we not the hourly cleaning charge will apply.
- But Cockatoo room not available for major birthdays under 25yo.
Deposit and balance policies for celebration bookings from 15th March 2013. - We can reserve dates for use of the function room and cottages for a celebration function for a period of up to two weeks without financial obligation. To turn a reservation into a confirmed booking we require a deposit of at least 25% of the quoted function tariff and the minimum-person accommodation tariff. No later than 3 months before a celebration booking we require the function room deposit to be increased to 50% of the quoted tariff and credit card details provided to guarantee both function and accommodation balances. No later than two weeks before the event we need to be advised of any table linen requirements and all accommodation bed configurations. Payment balances are due on commencement of the booking though, by arrangement, we will accept balance payments from people other than those who have provided the guarantee and by other cards and methods.
Cancellation policies for celebration package bookings made after 15th March 2013. - If you cancel a function room celebration booking we will charge a cancellation fee as follows:-
- within 4 weeks of booking confirmation: 10% of quoted tariff. Balance of deposit held will be refunded
- from confirmation + 2 weeks to 3 months before event: 20% of quoted tariff. Balance of deposit held will be refunded
Less than 3 months before booked event: 50% of quoted tariff.
Accommodation cancellation policies for celebratipons are the same as our general cancellation policies described in our accommodation contract.
Seminar/workshop package
Tariff incl GST calculated as follows:-
- For function room only. Weekday: $100 + $7.50pppd. Weekend: $150pd plus $12pppd. See max capacity under Function tab.
- Deduct 10% from function room total tariff if hire is for 2 days or more.
- Add use of Cafe Cottage self-catering kitchen (if available) for groups $8 pppd.
- Cafe Cottage itself is to be rented if event is for more than 1 day.
- Optional extras: Rising rising stage: $50; tablecloth hire as above: $9 per cloth, napkins $1.00 Cleaning at $55per hour (weekends) and $40ph (weekdays) for more than normal clean.
- Not included: Food, tea, coffee.
Seminar package includes:
- Access to Cockatoo Room incl its servery/kitchennette 9am to 9pm or part thereof (time variations by arrangement.)
- Use of verandahs, lawns, gazebo, toilets.
- Use of as many tables and/or chairs as required, self configured as desired.
- Use by request of pin-board partitions for posters/photographs..
- Use of servery for tea, coffee and self-supplied or externally catered meals for up to 10# (if extras, Cafe use required as above).
- Professional event-caterers of your own choice at your cost but must have insurance.
- Audio equipment, OHP, TV, DVD, whiteboard, table tennis tables X 2.
- Free wireless internet,
- Rubbish removal.
- After event rooms and equipment to be left clean where and as found ready for standard floor and facilities clean. If not the extra hourly charge will apply.
Bare-bones hourly package (for casual hourly use by locals)
Tariff incl GST calculated as follows:
- $1.50 per per person per hour on weekdays, $2.50ppph on weekends Both st min of $50.
- Add: Access to Cafe Cottage kitchen, if required (and available) $8pppd.
- Optional extras: Rising stage, $50. Tablecloth hire: $9 per cloth. Napkins $1.00 ea.Cleaning at $55 per hour (weekends) $40ph (weekdays) for more than normal clean.
- Not included: Food, tea, coffee .
Bare Bones package includes:
- Self organised access to Cockatoo Room (only) by arrangement and use of verandas, lawns, gazebo, toilets.
- Use of as many tables and/or chairs as required, self configured as desired.
- Use of servery/kitchennette for self-supplied tea, coffee and food for up to 15# (if more use Cafe, extra cost as above).
- Professional event-caterers of your own choice at your cost but must have insurance
- Rubbish removal.
- After event rooms and equipment are to be left as found ready for standard floor and facilities clean. If not the extra hourly cleaning charge will apply.
