For list of local function providers you may wish to engage, see below.
We are a self-catering cottage and function destination but guests not wanting to physically cater for their function are welcome to engage external support personnel (eg;caterers, photographers, celebrants, waiters, decorators etc) to deliver services here. If you have have chosen to hold a function in the Cockatoo Room the function tariff conatins an allowance for full access to the Cafe Cottage kitchen for group catering. If not and you want to cater for a group from the Cafe kitchen then there will be an extra fee.
Below is a contact list of local providers who we accept as being reputable.and who have expressed a willingness to be independently approached by our guests. Note that we take no responsibility for the services they provide. Most of those listed have experience at our venue.
Insurance
Note that our insurance does not cover risks associated with any service provided by you to your guests or by any person or firm you engage to deliver services. You should ensure that each provider you engage does have the necessary qualifications or licences and sufficient current liability and workers compensation insurances to cover them in the event of a claim by you, one of your guests or their staff. If they do not and you engage a party without such insurance then any and all losses or damage arising from the engagement of such providers will be the responsibility of the party hiring our venue....you. We are not liable for such claims.
Alcohol
Please note too that we do not have a Liquor Licence. You are welcome to provide your own alcohol to guests attending your function provided you do not sell it to them. If you are engaging waiters to serve alcohol it would be wise for you to engage staff who have Responsible Service of Alcohol certification. Most external caterers can provide this service for you. If you do wish to SELL alcohol at a function then that cannot be done unless you have a valid event Liquor Licence....a bureaucratic process that needs to be planned months in advance and needs our consent. In all cases when alcohol is served at a function we will hold liable the party booking the premises for any problems associated with or arising from its consumption by any member of their guest party.

If needed, he can stay on site independently in his own caravan and provide kitchen assistance for brunch on the morning following a wedding reception.
