Pigeon House Mountain
Pigeon House Mountain is situated within the Morton National Park on the NSW South Coast. It is about 40 minutes from Bawley Bush Cottages along a well kept dirt road that leads to the foot of the mountain and its popular walking/climbing track.
The track, though rated as difficult, is climbed by many children. The climb is approximately 5km return and takes an average of 1+ hours to ascend to its 720m peak from the mountain from the car park and about 3/4 hour to descend . There is a very steep initial climb of 800m and then about 1.2km of flat walking before a less strenuous stepped track to ladders that lead to the summit.
From the summit there are incredible panoramic views of rugged cliffs and gorges produced by the Clyde River over many centuries. The view stretches, on a good clear day, from the north coastline of Point Perpendicular to Mount Dromaderry in the south. Absolutely breathtaking.

We strongly recommend purchasing a map (from Termeil service station) although signage is quite clear.Travel north from Termeil about 2km and turn left into Monkey Mountain Road and follow signs
